Catching Up

If my blog background gets deleted one more time....

I know that I have been MIA, and I have a lot to say, but so little time! I did just get a smart phone that makes me feel stupid and once I figure out how to use it I will post from that!

I have actually had two orders that I have been working on and I made a set for the DillyDally "Mad for Plaid" launch. Here is my contribution!

Madeline is getting so big!!!

Diet is going ok. I have yet to get a workout routine going, but I have lost 5 pounds in 3 weeks and I am always hungry- LOL I am using my phone to track calories and I think that might be a good thing.

Oh, and those blasted wing chairs. Matt and I started them and they are sitting unfinished in our living room. I am so sick of looking at them, but in time they will get done.

Happy 4th Birthday Madeline!

Madeline turned 4 on the 19th and I can not believe how fast the last four years flew by! Madeline's birth also marks when I stopped teaching to stay home. She is a sweet girl and 100% a Daddy's girl. One of her favorite gifts was Coconut, an American Girl dog. Right now Wyatt and Madeline are playing "Vet". Poor Coconut! LOL Madeline also received B. Pop-Arty Beads from the Ball family and they have been a HUGE hit! I have been sporting some bead-utiful jewelry. A favorite gift of mine was the matching Strasburg dressesfor Madeline and Maisy- so cute! Thank you Grandma Penney! Here are some pics of the birthday girl!

Wyatt's First Day of Kindergarten

And he loved it! Wyatt is attending the local public school half day this year. I did not walk him in, rather I opened the door, pushed him in and said "Have Fun!" He is a confident little boy and did not ask for mommy. I shed a few tears as I watched him walk away without a second glance. I did not swell on this though. We went to breakfast with Grandpa Kemp and hit Target before my precious 2.5 hours was up. When I went to pick him up he was on the playground and looked so big. Well, off to do homework!

Last day of summer break!

Today we are going to hit the zoo for our last hurrah before Wyatt starts school tomorrow. He is so excited and I am too. He is only going half day and I am not sure if it will be long enough for the both of us. We will see! I can not wait to take his first day of school pictures. These pictures will come in handy for his high school graduation slide show. I even made Madeline an apple dress for the occasion. Grandpa Kemp and Grandma Rose are coming over for a cookout this evening and I think that is a perfect way to end our summer break.

Today is the day

that I begin a *diet*. I am at the heaviest that I have ever been besides being pregnant and I do not like it. I can not fit anything and frankly I feel fat and that depresses me. So I joined an online tracking site www.fitday.com and I am going to lose this weight. My goal is by our disney trip- 17 pounds in 77 days- I do not even know if that is possible, but I am going to try my hardest. First on my agenda- working out. I plan on doing the treadmill on T/TH and my Biggest Loser workout M/W/F. I will take the weekend off. I am cutting out snacking, more than 12 oz of soda, and finishing the kids meals. I can do this!!!

We love to eat at Rosie's when we are in Huntsville, Al. they have a cool fountain that the kids like to throw coins in and make "wishes".

We just returned from a week long trip in Alabama. We did our usual stop in Huntsville, but then we also drove south to Orange Beach, Al. This was the kids first time at the beach. We had a great time. I will let the pictures do the talking.
