Gallery Wall Revisited

I needed to expand my gallery wall to add updated pictures of the three kids.  The white wall has remained the same, but the black wall has gone through a few changes.

Final Round... Maybe?

I filled the previous holes and they are not noticeable.  I use really small nails and that helps.  When I finally sucked it up and made templates for each frame rather than randomly throwing them up there I was able to get the look I wanted in under an hour.  I used sticky tac on the bottom two corners of every frame.  This keeps the frames level and secure.

We Have Electricity People

I have a two story entry with a plant shelf that annoys me. The boys throw balls up there and it is a final resting spot for flies.  Last Christmas I wanted to put pre lit decorations, but there was not an outlet. My sweet diy husband put an outlet in yesterday and it cost less than $10.

New Outlet
I am always on the lookout for something interesting and more colorful for this shelf. I am over ivy topiaries, but do not want an empty space.

We replaced the light fixture last year. This was the before:

Help a girl out! If this were your shelf what would you put there?

A Little of This and a Little of That

I am loving my new rooms, but I thought that my sewing table pulls could use a little Rub N Buff. What do you think? My husband did not even notice until I pointed it out.

BEFORE

AFTER

Remember this photo shoot?  I printed off my favorites and added them to the gallery wall.  This is what the wall looked like before:

And after:

This wall will be easy to switch out pictures in the future because most of the frames can accommodate either a 5x7 or 8x10.

My sweet daughter made me a flower bouquet out of Kinex. She is our crafty creative girl. I wonder where she gets that from?

Gallery Walls

The first thing I did when we moved into this house was hang photographs. Our previous home was on the market on and off for three years and was void of family photos per realtor recommendations and that is one thing I really missed. My upstairs hallway was a perfect spot for gallery walls. I already had a lot of frames in black and white and I decided to do one white and the other black. The white wall is complete and has milestone pictures of the kids: first portrait, dedication, and first birthday. I do not foresee this wall changing. Ever. I want to add to the black wall and get a new family portrait because that photo is missing someone really important to us, Luke! When I hung these I made templates of each frame and used painter tape to arrange and it was a pretty easy project.

The wall niche has an amazing vinyl decal that was made by Willow Creek Sign Company and I love to walk by it every day.

I will be linking up to The Inspired Room's gallery wall party April 6th!

Here are some sneak peeks!

We had a very busy weekend! Matt installed the new foyer light, which required renting scaffolding. I was able to get up to the plant shelf and scrub it down, along with removing thrown toys, and washing the window. The bad thing is the outside window is dirty...
