Impromptu Photo Shoot

Before Josh's graduation I snapped a few pictures of Madeline and Luke.  Wyatt was at his first baseball game so he missed it.  He was not disappointed about that!

I know that I am biased, but this girl is beautiful.  I always dreamed that I would have a blue eyed, blond girl, which is crazy because I have brown eyes and hair.  I was going to name her Ocean Raquel...

Luke comes up with these poses and will not take a picture without them!

Again, the posing!

Free 8x10 Collage

You can snag a free 8x10 collage at Walgreens with this coupon code COLLAGE4YOU until May 11th.  My little brother, who is not so little anymore,  is graduating high school next month. My sis-in-law Amanda did a  great job taking his senior pictures and I could not pass up a free collage!

I was also able to get 50 4x6 prints for the price of 25 with the coupon code 25SPRING25. We are using this picture as the open house invitation.  Fifty invites for $5.13- you can't beat that!  I used this free tag and various free fonts to create this invitation.

Oh, did you notice the facelift?! I needed a change this felt springy and bright!  I have some cute new social media buttons on the top courtesy of Pancake Ninja and My Favourite Things' tutorial.

Gallery Wall Revisited

I needed to expand my gallery wall to add updated pictures of the three kids.  The white wall has remained the same, but the black wall has gone through a few changes.

Final Round... Maybe?

I filled the previous holes and they are not noticeable.  I use really small nails and that helps.  When I finally sucked it up and made templates for each frame rather than randomly throwing them up there I was able to get the look I wanted in under an hour.  I used sticky tac on the bottom two corners of every frame.  This keeps the frames level and secure.

Beautiful Family

Mary and I go waaaaaay back and yet I am not sure she knew what she was getting into when she asked me to take family pictures.  I will tell you one thing, her boys are a joy to take pictures and not at all difficult like my brood!  I am posting a few of my favorites.  I hope you do not mind Mary!

Fall Pictures

I missed the prime fall foliage while on vacation but that was not going to deter me from trying to capture one good picture of the kids for the grandparents.  If I get one good picture I feel that I accomplished the goal.  This is the best of the best. I used PW's Colorized action. The first one is my kids' classic pose and the second on is more serious.  Which one do you like best?

After the torture session the kids let off some steam at the playground.

Walking Tour

Yesterday we took a walk around our neighborhood and I brought along my 70-300 lens for fun.
Here  are a few of my favorite things...

LOVE this wood door on my neighbors' house. It also has an interesting story.

The crooked picture was bothering me so I used the straighten too in Picnik. Love that tool!

This garage door is from the same house. They just installed it last week and I love the carriage accents!

Luke is a mean riding machine.

I chose this picture because I love the blur of the leaves and the look on his face.

Madeline smiling, which is so much better than whining.  Her new hobby.

Gorgeous petunias.

Awesome barn that backs up to our division.

Edgy, Madeline's Webkinz and testing out different wb settings.

More "testing" with sooc shots.

Not really sure how I feel about the wb settings.  Is there where a custom balance may work better?

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Pioneer Woman Actions

I finally downloaded the Pioneer Woman actions for Photoshop Elements using the uber helpful Texas Chicks video.  I decided to try my hand at some of the actions. All before shots are straight out of the camera (sooc).  I can't really say that I have a favorite because I like them all!
