Happy Birthday Michael!

I love my brother's birthday as it also marks 12 days until Christmas! The kids are SUPER excited and Matt and I are enjoying all the wonderment that little ones bring to the holiday season. I have enjoyed our break from selling the house. We talk to a new realtor on Wed. and I am positive that he will be the last one! Almost all my Christmas shopping is done and I am going to start some holiday baking with the kids. I have been sewing some OOAK spring dress to put in my etsy shop, but I am also enjoying the break from the custom world. I am trying to get my facebook fan page going. Thank you to my 13 fans!!! I appreciate each and everyone of you! I did finish Luke's first year photo book (yea me!) and I am caught up on our family 2009 book!!!

My little brother Michael got hitched this past Saturday and it was so beautiful!!! We all had a great time. I am sure that Mr. and Mrs. Goodin are having a great time on their honeymoon in Jamaica.

Catching Up

We have been super busy the last few weeks. Soccer, tumbling, football, doctor's appointments, Michael's approaching wedding.... the list goes on! I took a little creative break, but will be participating in the DillyDally Scandinavia launch in a couple of weeks! AND I really need/want to work on our photo book, but have not found the time. Poor Luke! I have yet to start on his memory book :(  Bad Mommy! LOL

Wyatt's First Day of Preschool

Here is a picture from Wyatt's first day of pre-school at Calvary Christian School. I think that it is funny that my mom and I drop kids off at the same school! Wyatt was a little sad the first day and so was I, but he is LOVING it now!

Great Grandma Penney

Matt's grandma passed away last week and he flew to the funeral. The kids and I did not go because it is a long trip. She was such a sweet person and loved Matt and the kids. We will miss Grandma Penney.  Here is her obit.

Mini- Vacation

The family is preparing for a mini-vacation to the lovely state of Ohio.  We will hit Kings Island first and then CoCo Key Resort before stopping at the Gastineau's. Then most of the Kemp clan will get together in Canton for a reunion. I am excited about getting away and the kids are excited about seeing their only cousins! I am sure that there will be lots of pics that I never get uploaded to this blog- LOL

Vacation!

This week we are leaving for Alabama. The kids are very excited about seeing Grandpa and Grandma. It is a 6 hour drive, but doable with lots of snacks, toys, and VIDEOS!!! Matt's job is Captain and I am not the co-captain as you may assume, but the stewardess! I sit with the kids and keep them happy by throwing out drinks and little bags of pretzels.  I am sure that I will have stories to tell of our trip...

Spa Day

This past Wednesday I went to the day spa courtesy of my sweet husband and kids. I had a very relaxing time getting a spa manicure and pedicure! It took two hours!!! I read a People magazine and chatted the nail technician's head off. Even better the kids had a great time with Daddy and Luke did not even miss his Mama! I think a return trip is in order for Mother's Day- LOL

Luke is seven months old now and starting to eat baby food. I love feeding babies food. It is fun to watch Luke try to figure out if he likes it or not! And what a MESS!!!

Fabulous News!!!

The CPSIA granted a one year stay!!! That means that we can continue to make handmade goods and make this law better!!! I am so happy! I was not ready to throw in the towel!

It's All About the Bows!

BijouCo's first spring launch began January 27th. Here is my contribution. Thank goodness I was able to take pictures before the big snow! It was 44 degrees though and Madeline was COLD, but I still think she is cute, even when shivering! LOL

Happy Birthday Wyatt!

My baby turned four last Sunday! I can not believe how time flies! He is such a big boy now. We bought him a Leapster2 and he loves it. We went bowling with the Ball's and had a great time. I have not uploaded the pictures... yet.

Cold, Cold, Cold

It has been so cold! With the exception of a quick grocery run on Monday the kids have not left the house since last Friday!!! They are having a good time though playing with their toys and getting on mommy's nerves-LOL.

Some good news!

It looks like people will be able to resell their children's clothing regarding the new CPSIA regulations (sigh of relief). Not sure about custom boutique clothing so we will have to wait and see. Fingers crossed!

We received great news from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), clarifying the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act that goes into effect on February 10, 2009. From the statement - "The new law requires that domestic manufacturers and importers certify that children's products made after February 10 meet all the new safety standards and the lead ban. Sellers of used children's products, such as thrift stores and consignment stores, are not required to certify that those products meet the new lead limits, phthalates standard or new toy standards." "The new safety law does not require resellers to test children's products in inventory for compliance with the lead limit before they are sold. However, resellers cannot sell children's products that exceed the lead limit and therefore should avoid products that are likely to have lead content... Those resellers that do sell products in violation of the new limits could face civil and/or criminal penalties." We always have been and will continue to be committed to buying & selling product that meets the standards supplied to us by the CPSC. To continue to ensure the safety of your children, we will not buy or sell items noted in the statement - "recalled children's products, children's products that will contain lead such as children's jewelry, painted wooden or metal toys, flimsily made toys that are easily breakable into small parts and dolls and stuffed toys that have buttons, eyes, noses or other small parts that are not securely fastened and could present a choking hazard for young children. "

Ahh....Comfy

For Christmas I received new bed pillows and sheets and that prompted me to change my bedroom decor. It has been black and cream toile for the last 6.5 years and I have had enough of it! LaNae helped me pick out a new set and curtains from Target and I LOVE it! Today I am going to look for some wall art that will match. We are going to put the house back on the market soon... I have a lot of work to do to get this abode ready. I will post pictures of the fnished room .

I need a vacation from my vacation!!!

We had a wonderful Christmas and left the evening of the 26th for Florida! 2 days in the van with a 6 month old, 2.5 year old and almost 4 year old... let's just say there are memories!!! We had a great time hanging out with Grandpa and Grandma Kemp, the Thomas family and Gastineau family. We sent 2 days at the Magic Kingdom and the kids LOVED it! We are planning a return trip when Luke is a little older. On the way home we stopped in AL to see Matt's family. Not only do I have a lot of unpacking to do, but all of Christmas is still up. Hopefully I will get it down before Valentine's Day! LOL
