The Last Week

has been furiously busy!!! The open house, three sick kids, doctor's appointments, house stuff.... the list goes on and on! Last night Matt and I were exhausted and decided to have a Date Night in! We got movies and chinese food. It was relaxing. This morning I opened my fortune cookie and this is what it was!!! Oh, I do hope that the mass produced fortunes hold some truth!!!

Tax Time!

For some reason we do not own a calculator. The cell phone ones are too hard to use for taxes. Aunt Chelley got Madeline a fabulous pink cash register, which is actually a calculator, for Christmas- perfect for taxes!!! Matt did not seem to agree, but the numbers come out the same regardless what color your calculator is!

Mickey Mouse pancakes anyone? The kids love it when I make these for breakfast complete with chocolate chip eyes and smile!!! Messy but oh, so good!

Here are some pictures from the day of the open house. We drove to the outlet mall and Madeline loved her little bag. We passed the time by playing "guess my picture" and Wyatt drew a fantastic picture of an alien and his spaceship. Luke decided that a nap was more his style.

Playdates and an Open House

I decided to have some friends over before our big open house this Sunday. Mary and her boys, Isaiah and Nathan came over this past Thursday. The kids had a BLAST!!! In the past it has been rather chaotic and someone inevitably would get hurt, but this time was PERFECT! I felt a little bad for Madeline who was the only girl though. She spent some time alone in her room reading books. I enjoyed catching up with Mary, whom I have been friends with since the 6th grade! Can you believe that?! I did not take any pictures. I have horrible lighting in the playroom. Hopefully the next playdate will be outside!

Today is our open house. Matt and I have furiously got the house looking "better than perfection" in my opinion. I hope that it goes well. In the past our open houses yielded a looker or two and of course a nosy neighbor, which I do not mind. I would probably look at there house too. We looked at homes yesterday and I realized that my house is cleaner than most so that made me feel better. I will not tell you some of the dreadful things that I saw!!! Matt and I may need a mediator. Looking for the "forever" house is a lot harder than I thought it would be, mainly because Matt and I are having trouble agreeing!!!

Have a great day everyone!

"Everyone's a Photographer"

LOL

That is a laugh that LaNae and I have together. We both struggle to get the shots we want. In an effort to improve I have been reading a great book on my camera and I have learned alot!!!

I was very proud of myself that the last photo shoot I did was on Manual as opposed to the Full Auto that I have been using for the past year.

The other day I was "practicing" depth of field. Here are my shots:

Why do I buy my kids toys?

Wyatt's best pirate face!

Madeline singing "The pirate's life for me..."

When all they want is a laundry basket and some serving spoons? Lately these items serve as the grandest pirate ship this side of the Atlantic. Next year for Christmas I am going to wrap up some everyday household items as opposed to the usual toys- they have a lot more fun with these and they are multi-functional, not to mention cheaper.

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentines is not my favorite holiday- I am NOT a romantic person, but I love the little valentines that kids pass out. My three had fun getting their cards ready. Wyatt got a lot of practice writing his name. It was hard for him not to write so big. Note to self: I need to create and market cards for pre-schoolers that have a LARGE space for their name.

Easter Parade!

One of my favorite Easter pastimes is watching my children during the Easter parade at church. I made this set in anticipation of the parade. See it here!

Our Dream Home

We found it, BUT there is a couple of BIG problems:

1. We have yet to sell our house, but we have a showing this Saturday and I PRAY that they "are the ones"

2. Will this house still be available when we do sell.

I dreamed about it last night.

I will not reveal it's location because I do not want you to buy it! LOL

Winter

Here are a few pictures from our last snow fall. It is supposed to snow MORE!!! How much more do we need? Wyatt and Madeline enjoyed trying to eat the falling snowflakes! OK- so did Daddy too!

Luke

I love this picture of my little boy. He has the sweetest eyes.

Earaches and Toes

It looks like I am making a trip to the pediatrician tomorrow for Wyatt. He told me this evening that his ear "sounded funny" and woke up crying two hours after he went to bed. Why is it that my kids always get sick when they are supposed to have a well visit? It happens every time! I was going to call the nurse anyhow because Wyatt has a toenail that got damaged and it is going to fall off. I am scared. Will a new one grow back? This kind of stuff makes me queasy. Matt is not worried at all. Well, we will see.

ETA: I took Wyatt to the doctor and he does have an ear infection. He is feeling pretty yucky right now, but I know that he will feel better tomorrow!

Go COLTS!!!

Really hoping that we win the BIG one today!!!

Wyatt as Batman

Earlier this fall I made Wyatt a Batman cape and just now came across the pictures. These really show his personality! He is all BOY!
