Ikea Gray Cabinets

We spent the night in Cincinnati last weekend and had a blast at CoCo Key Water Resort.  Six straight hours of swimming and water slides! We were exhausted, but had a great time!  I love the Lazy River!  Wyatt could not get enough of the "dark" slides.  The funny thing is we have something really similar here in Indianapolis, but this is a great excuse to pop into Ikea and Jungle Jim's.

While browsing Ikea we admired this show kitchen that was under construction during our trip back in March.  Gray paint, raised panels... slightly familiar!  I am happy to see gray cabinets as an option in big box stores.

Despicable Me 2

Oh, the anticipation! The kids really enjoyed this movie and we had a great time seeing it!

Mini Farm Trip

Last month we visited Grace's house where she runs a small farm right in the city!  The kids loved the animals and were begging for the kitten!  Grace eats "farm" fresh eggs every day and is raising a turkey that will not get the presidents' pardon this Thanksgiving.

Pure joy!

Thank you Grace for the fun visit!

"New" Patio Light

Back in the beginning of summer one of the garage lights got hit with a basketball and needed a replacement shade.  Rather than purchasing a new shade,  I bought a new set so I could replace my dinky patio light with the remaining intact light.

If you remember this was my current patio light.

And here is my "new" light.  Before installing I applied a light coat of satin black exterior paint for a fresh new look.

Here is the before and after!

I love that the light is more substantial and compliments our new outdoor space!

Rosie's and a First

Our final destination was Huntsville, Al where Matt's parents live.
We visit four times a year and in the summer two things are guaranteed:
a trip to Rosie's and swimming in the pool.

Here is our traditional Rosie's picture:

And some individual "poses":

Wyatt unfortunately takes after his mom and is a wiener when it comes to jumping.  After a lot of coaching from Daddy and Grandma,  Wyatt jumped off the diving board!

Elated that he overcame his fear? I believe so!

Gulf Shores

We rented a little KOA Kabin for two nights in Gulf Shores, AL. The cabin was located by the bay and had a beautiful view.  I really hate staying in hotels and this is a step up from tent camping.  The cabin had AC and cable T.V.  Shameful!

You may remember that we were here back in 2010 right after the oil spill.  This trip was more enjoyable, less oil, and older kids makes a big difference!  Good friends were also vacationing nearby and we spent a day with them visiting, eating, and jet skiing.  The second day we hit the beach solo and here are some pictures of that day.

Luke wrote his own name in the sand. Prepping for kindergarten!

Wyatt spent all of his time in the water "surfing".

Luke wanted to be buried.

Madeline spent most of her time searching fro creatures!

Sand Castle complete with shell accents!

And the only picture you will see of me on the beach!
