Wyatt's List

I am a list maker and apparently Wyatt is too. Here are his top three must do things.

1. Cuddle with Mom

2. Watch Disney Junior

3. Watch funny shows. (America's Funniest Home Videos)

Master Bedroom

I am slowly adding rooms to my "home tour" and came across these photos taken after the Ikea trip. I did find an awesome blue and white striped pillow with floral embroidery at Kohls which looks fab on the bed, but I have not taken a photo yet. The striped pillow seen in the picture is now on the rocking chair. The paint color is Gravity from Lowes and can look gray or blue depending on the time of day. I would love to add curtains to the windows, a mirror above the dresser, and art above the bed. I have also thought about painting the rocking chair red. The rocking chair landed here by necessity because there was no other place, but I have found that it is great for storing the pillows at night.

Oh, and don't make fun of my money jar. That is our retirement fund. No, really.

Monkeying Around

We took the kids to Monkey Joe's when the cousins were here and I snapped a few pictures before I had to show the kids how it was done. Two hours in that place with remind you how out of shape you are!

More Easter Sewing

Remember the kids' Easter outfits? Well, Maisy and Stacy needed some too! One rainy day I made this dress and skirt for Madeline's dolls. I used left over fabric so this project did not cost me anything. I also made Madeline a fabric flower headband to match. I will post that with the tutorial that I used later.

Minnie Mouse

Just listed this Minnie Mouse patchwork skirt in my shop. I love the polkdots and flowers that are Minnie's trademark look! Although we are not gong to Disney anytime soon I did make Madeline a skirt because I could not resist! Available in sizes 12M-10! Check it out here!

Spring Break with the Cousins!

My sister and her family spent a couple of days with us last week for spring break and although they only live 3 hours away we do not see each other as much as we would like. I thought that it would be fun to make bird's nest cookies with the five older kids. I used this recipe!

I love the fact that this recipe only calls for three ingredients!



Wyatt and Elijah have been buddies since the womb. We used to joke that it was like baby Jesus and John (Luke 1:44)

Ta Da! Finished! The kids did a great job on their own. The adults did not have to do anything... except clean up the mess!
